Period & cycle companion · made in the UK

Know your cycle. Keep it yours.

Strawberry warns you three days before your period, asks how you are each morning and answers like a friend rather than a clinic, and keeps your partner quietly in the loop with only what you choose to share. Your history, your check-ins and your conversations stay on your phone, encrypted.

In private use. Public release on Google Play planned; iPhone to follow.

Designed with perimenopause in mind, and just as happy with a regular cycle. For adults. Not a medical device, not contraception.

Never a clinic

A morning message written for that exact day, an assistant that knows where you are in your cycle, and a daily spark so it is a pleasure to open.

The morning

One tap for how you feel. A message written for today.

At the time you choose, Strawberry asks how you are. Pick one of ten feelings and anything else you noticed, and the reply is written for that morning: where you are in your cycle, one concrete thing for the day, and a gentle note about decisions, framed as kindness rather than caution.

  • Ten feelings, eight symptoms. Radiant, calm, energised, tired, tender, irritable, anxious, crampy, foggy, sad. Hot flash, night sweats, slept badly, headache, bloated, achy joints, heavy flow, spotting.
  • Written live, not canned. The message is generated for your day by Claude, Anthropic's assistant. If you are offline, Strawberry's own library steps in, so a morning is never silent.
  • Read it to me. Have the reply spoken aloud with your phone's own voice, or keep it quiet. Nothing is spoken unless you switch it on.
  • A daily spark. One playful question with three one-tap answers and a streak. "Chocolate (correct answer)" is a real option.

Honest predictions

A window and a swing, not a promise.

Most apps average your last three cycles and show one exact day. Strawberry takes the middle of your last six confirmed cycles, shows the spread as a swing, and tells you "most likely Wednesday, window Sunday to Saturday". If the expected day passes but you are still inside the window, it says "any day now", because nothing is wrong.

  • Your dates are the truth. Every period you confirm closes the last cycle, updates the median and the swing, and recentres the calendar.
  • Start accurate on day one. Type in your last six periods at setup, or let Strawberry read the screenshots of your old app and fill them in for you to check.
  • Built for perimenopause. When cycles vary more, the swing matters more than the average. Strawberry shows both and watches for hot flashes, sleep and heavy days, with a light nudge to mention them at your next check-up.
  • A calendar you can read. Period, follicular, ovulation, luteal and pre-period days in five clear colours, logged flow shown darker, the expected window dashed.

Predictions are estimates from the dates and symptoms you log. They can be wrong, especially when cycles are irregular. Strawberry is not a method of contraception and should not be used to prevent or achieve pregnancy.

The assistant

Ask anything, typed or spoken. It already knows what day it is.

Strawberry's assistant sees your cycle day, this morning's check-in, your last six cycle lengths, the moon phase and the things you have chosen to let it remember. So you never have to explain. Ask what to eat for energy, why you are hot at night, or for something funny. It answers like a clever best friend, never a lecture.

  • Type or talk. A microphone for when your hands are busy, in English or Romanian, and replies read aloud if you want them.
  • Car mode. Hands-free: every reply is spoken and Strawberry listens again when it finishes. Say "stop" to end.
  • Memory you approve. When the assistant wants to remember something, it asks first. Memory is stored only on your phone, encrypted, and you can delete any line.
  • Bring your own memory. Paste a summary of what another assistant already knows about you, once, and Strawberry picks it up.

The assistant generates answers from your logged data and Strawberry's reviewed content. It can make mistakes and is not a clinician. Each question sends your cycle context to Anthropic's API for that reply; it is not used to train anything.

Strawberry Partner · free

Your partner, quietly in the loop. Only what you switch on.

The most asked-for feature in this category is a way to include a partner. Strawberry Partner is a separate, free app. It sees exactly what you choose, and nothing else. Its motto is "cheer, don't nurse".

  • Three switches, yours. Cycle phase and mood forecast. Today's feeling and symptoms. Short notes from Strawberry. Any of them off in one tap, or unlink entirely.
  • A forecast, not a verdict. They see the mood your cycle usually brings on each of the next seven days, with one practical tip per day. Your actual check-in always wins.
  • A daily digest and a heads-up. One notification at 08:00, and the same three-day warning you get, so the tea and the hot-water bottle appear without a conversation.
  • Notes both ways. "Could you grab tea on the way home?" and "I've got dinner tonight, you rest."
  • Encrypted between your two phones. Each phone makes its own keys; the server only ever carries sealed data it cannot read. Neither can we.

Partner sharing is optional, chosen item by item, and can be switched off at any time. Strawberry must never be used to monitor someone without their knowledge and consent.

Privacy, shown rather than claimed

Here is exactly where your data lives.

Cycle data is some of the most personal data there is. Every app says "privacy first". These are the facts you can check.

On your phone, encrypted

Your profile, every period, every flow level, every check-in, your memory, your chat history, your notes and your settings are stored on the phone in encrypted storage protected by the device's own keystore.

What the cloud holds

Your email and password hash, your name, your consent record, a push token, and sealed partner data that only your two phones can open. No cycle history. No check-ins. No chats.

What we never do
  • No advertising, no advertising SDKs
  • No selling or sharing of health data
  • No analytics on health data
  • No health content in notifications sent through the cloud
What you control
  • Export everything as a file, any time
  • Delete your account and wipe the phone's data, any time
  • Withdraw consent in Settings
  • Choose, switch by switch, what a partner sees

Processors: Google (Firebase, EU region) for accounts, push and the encrypted relay; Anthropic for assistant replies, per request, with no training on your data. Made and supported in the United Kingdom under UK GDPR. Full details in the privacy notice.

What Strawberry is not

Said plainly, so you can trust the rest.

Not a medical device, not medical advice. Strawberry is a wellbeing companion. It does not diagnose or treat anything. If you are worried about your health, talk to a doctor, a nurse or NHS 111.
Not contraception, not a fertility aid. Predictions are estimates from what you log and can be wrong. Do not use Strawberry to prevent or achieve pregnancy.
Not a surveillance tool. Partner sharing exists so you never have to explain. It is chosen item by item and must never be used on someone without their consent.
Not for children. Strawberry is for adults. The current build requires users to be 18 or older. The store age rating will be shown here when published.

Questions

Good to know.

Is my data sold, or shown to advertisers?

No. There are no ads and no advertising SDKs in Strawberry or Strawberry Partner, and health data is never sold or shared with advertisers. Your cycle data is stored on your phone, encrypted.

Can anyone get my cycle history from your servers?

There is no cycle history on our servers to give. The cloud holds your email, a consent record, a push token and sealed partner data that only your two phones can decrypt.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. "Delete account" in Settings removes your account and everything in the cloud and wipes the phone's Strawberry data. "Export my data" gives you a copy first if you want one.

Does it work with irregular cycles or perimenopause?

That is what it was built for first. Predictions become windows with a visible swing, "any day now" replaces "late", and symptom tracking is tuned to hot flashes, sleep and heavy days.

Does my partner see my symptoms?

Only if you switch that on. There are three separate switches: phase and mood forecast, today's feeling and symptoms, and notes from Strawberry. You can turn any of them off, or unlink, at any time.

Is Strawberry contraception, or a medical device?

No, and no. It is a wellbeing companion. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything, and it must not be used to prevent or achieve pregnancy.

Which phones, and when?

Android first. Strawberry is in private use now; a Google Play release is planned, with iPhone to follow. Join early access and we will tell you the moment it is ready.

Which languages?

English by default, and Romanian. Every screen, the assistant, the voice and the notifications follow your choice. More languages can be added without a rebuild.
